On the occasion of the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, which is observed on 29 May, President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović today received members of the Peacekeepers Association, a non-governmental organization dedicated to peacebuilding, promoting tolerance, and providing humanitarian assistance.
Members of the Peacekeepers Association, led by Marijan Gubin, briefed President Milanović on the activities and projects of the Association, which was founded in 2011 year. The Association highlighted the implementation of educational programmes on tolerance, the organisation of school workshops for children, the development of projects aimed at preventing peer violence, and cooperation with global peace networks as its main activities and projects.
