Mirta Vladić

Mirta Vladić, professor of Croatian language and literature, master storyteller, and doctoral candidate in literary and cultural identity studies

Through her professional work as a professor of Croatian language and literature in numerous schools in the City of Osijek, and through her dramatic and literary work with children, she demonstrates her systematic engagement and dedication to working with young people through the arts.

She has collaborated on numerous projects, such as working with children with learning difficulties through involvement in psycho-rehabilitation programs. Furthermore, she is the director of the theatrical productions Violence? No, Thank You! and Where Did the Person Disappear?, and is currently the director of the drama and creative group of the Down Syndrome Association.

She is the recipient of the 2015 Individual Volunteer Engagement Award from the Osijek Volunteer Center.

In addition to her numerous commitments, as well as attending doctoral studies in literature and cultural identity, she is dedicatedly engaged as a volunteer in the work of the humanitarian nonprofit association Peacemakers, and holds the position of vice president.
